If you're looking for a once in a lifetime, truly versatile family horse; Look no further! Paisley excels in everything she does and soaks up knowledge like a sponge. She has successfully competed in Ranch Rodeos, 3 Man Doctorings, Ranch Sortings, Team Pennings, and Trail Horse Competitions. It wouldn't take much time or effort to go into barrel racing, breakaway or heeling at a competitive level with her. I pulled her out of the pasture the day before a 4-day Charmayne James Barrel Clinic with no previous barrel training and by the last day she was cruising a nice pretty pattern. Paisley is an old veteran out on the ranch, she's done it all and does it well. She's tied off on cattle bigger than she is more times than I can count, and she puts all she has into it to and stands her ground. You can step off of her in the middle of nowhere and she will stand by your side and follow you wherever you go. She's personable and has a human like personality that will make you laugh; I swear if she could roll her eyes at you, she would sometimes! But she's honest and wouldn't ever do something to put someone in danger. Paisley has a great handle, one hand neck rein, side passes to open and shut gates, nice turn around, stop and backup. She has all of the buttons, but how fast she responds to those buttons depends on the confidence she feels from you. She's doesn't get hot; you can ask for everything she has and then put a kid on her all within the same 5 minutes. She's quiet, confident and mature. Paisley's also an excellent trail horse, she's seen all types of terrain and conditions and no matter what the circumstances she will saddle up and ride off honest and true for you every time. You won't have to find a buddy to ride with because she confident and safe on her own, but she also does perfect with others. If all you want is a safe horse to pleasure ride on once a month, don't think that because she's an athletic, prime aged mare that you'd be "wasting her potential". Yes, she's extremely broke, yes, she loves to work, but above all else, she loves to please you. So, if her way of doing that is bopping down a trail and keeping you feeling safe and confident, she's happy with it. No matter how long you lay this lady off she will be solid. She has NO buck. Paisley is 100% sound with no bumps or blemishes and no past injuries. Put together the way one should be. She's good to catch, tie, saddle, load and shoe. She gets along with other horses well, geldings or mares. Paisley is almost hard to describe because horses like her don't ever get offered to the public. She will be a horse that you're proud to own and talk about for years beyond her life. I know I will. So, to answer the burning question, "Why are you selling her?". Along with most of the other consignors in this sale, we train and sell horses for a living. We make a living by creating horses of her league for YOU and we couldn't be more proud that this little mare packs our brand and represents our training program the way that she does. This is a high-end sale, with a whole line up of quality horses. When you compare her to other potential partners, I will admit that you will find that there will be others with a more impressive pedigree, horses with more chrome and flash, and horses with a "fancier" handle, but when it comes to honesty, grit, and heart, there is NO competition.
