VIDEO | Weston

Weston is gentle, quiet, and kind. His good disposition is no accident. We have raised Weston since weaning. He was lightly started as a 2 year old and put to work as a 3 year old. We are happy to offer him at the Cody Horse Sale in his fourth year. Weston is a beautiful, rich-colored dun with dorsal stripe and barring on his legs. He has a commanding presence that turns heads everywhere he goes. Weston has been in the high Rockies gathering and moving cattle and is an old pro on municipal trails. He navigates steep terrain, deadfall, bogs, water crossings, bridges, strollers, joggers, semi trucks, air brakes, cars, heavy equipment, and all manners of livestock. He has a solid foundation as a ranch roping horse: roping yearlings and calves, and dragging calves to the fire. He has also been in the ranch sorting pen and has been started in working equitation. We have used Weston as a family horse, and he rides double and triple as well. Over the years, he has developed a nice neck rein and stop. Weston also moves off leg pressure and responds to voice commands. He moves out willingly. He has been used barefoot and shod. He stands well to be shod and lets the kids brush his legs. Weston is first to be caught and loads and backs out of the trailer. He is current on vaccinations, deworming, and coggins. Call for more information: 970-556-4820.
