Oakley

Oakley is a half draft out of a quarter horse stud and a Percheron mare. She's been used for all manner of ranch work from moving cows in rough mountain country to roping and doctoring yearlings. She's been used at brandings and has sorted cattle in a corral environment. She works gates, crosses water, loads great and is good to trim. Oakley travels out nice, is sure footed, very smooth at all speeds and can cover ALOT of country! She keeps a good steady pace all day without being a ball of fire. You can ride alone or away from other horses fine. She will keep track of where they are if they remain in sight but that's it. While Oakley is safe and gentle enough for a beginner, I feel she would best fit an intermediate to advanced rider. Since her time on the ranch Oakley is all about moving out, covering country and taking on a new job. And for a big girl she's got some nice moves that a more confident rider would really enjoy! The more you put into this good girl, the more she'll give back. She is very agreeable and willing to please.
