DESCRIPTION | Bodacious
Meet “Bodacious” a 2017 15.2h 1/2 QH 1/2 percheron. He’s the type everyone's looking for with his good looks, solid feet & willing disposition, he’s bound to be a crowd pleaser! Bo does it all. I’ve owned him for nearly three years & he’s been my go-to mount for just about every task I can think of. He’s seen big country in the foothills & prairies of Alberta riding lease & checking pairs. I’ve used him in the branding pen, he hauled in big calves without issue. I’ve ridden countless miles out in the mountains with Bo, he’s safe and will cross anything he’s pointed at. We’ve traveled through some pretty rough terrain & Bo always stays surefooted. He’s comfortable anywhere in the string whether it’s leading in the front, going in the middle, bringing up the rear or out on his own. He will cross bog, deep rivers and bridges all while on a loose rein. Bo doesn’t shy from a long day and knows what it’s like to work for a living. He’s got a solid liberty foundation, well versed in obstacles & has even dabbled in english, popping over a few low crossrails. I’ve dallied some goosey colts up to Bo & he handles just like one should. He tracks the heelomatic & has even roped a few slow steers outta the box. In addition to being a well-versed ranch horse, Bo will ride around fancy too. He lopes a nice circle, sidepasses, stops well, collects up, has a one handed neck rein & will do little spins. We’ve done some reining lessons, worked the flag & buffalo. Bo’s got a lot of buttons & feel for a draft cross so he would be best suited to a more experienced rider that knows how to use those buttons although he’s packed some beginners down the trails all day with no issue. Bo saddles up the same every day, you can cinch him up on the coldest morning after time off & he’ll be exactly how you left him with absolutely no buck. He is not broke to drive but has been harnessed and pulled a toboggan. No vices, good to catch, trim/shoe, trailer etc.
