Kasen was raised on the Silver Spur in Wyoming. Grew up cowboying and training reined cowhorses. Once graduating high school he moved to Alabama to work for hall of fame cutting horse trainer Austin Shepard. He has spent the last 2 years living in Lipan TX training cutting horses. He just most recently moved back to WY to run a portion of the ranch and train the Silver Spur horses.
