VIDEO | Dart
Dart has been a "go too" horse for us since we started him at our ranch. Although smaller at 14.1 and 1000lbs. He has always been the first to be caught and a "greet you at the gate" type. We have done everything with this horse. He has always been steady in the mountains with an advanced or novice rider. He has packed elk meat, hard panniers, and duffle loads. He has led the string from Jackson Hole to Cody several times. We have used him at the ranch extensively. He is the best sorting horse I've ever rode. He will track a cow or calf and head or heel it. He has loaded bulls in trailers and has worked the night pen calving heifers. This horse has a lot of "cow". We have used him as a breakaway calf roping horse and a finished heel horse. He has been hauled to WTRC, amateur rodeos, mule roping, and ranch rodeos. Youth have competed on him. He is mellow to handle but all business when working. He is kid safe. He rides up in the bridle or with a smooth one hand neck reign. He moves off leg pressure well and is easy to bath, load and mount. Dart would make a fantastic youth rodeo horse or ladies riding horse in the mountains or on the ranch. Call (307) 899-5403.
