Fancy

Fancy is a beautiful 9-year-old Gypsy Vanner Quarter Horse cross mare. This mare is truly everything a horse should be. In my opinion she is the perfect combination of tough, energetic, calm, and gentle. She has lived on one of the largest ranches in western Wyoming and has proven herself an extremely versatile ranch and pleasure horse. She has doctored yearlings, doctored calves, dragged calves to the branding fire and wrangled large horse herds. She has been used for night calving and has been used to work other colts for halter breaking and starting under saddle. You can tie off on her and she ground ties as well. She will cow up and track one. She steps out and has enough energy to get the job done but is still gentle and keeps a sensible mind in a chaotic situation. With a nice smooth gait, she is a pleasure to ride on a long day and is as sure footed as they come. I have ridden her on the deserts, in the mountains, and in rivers and bogs and of all the horses I have rode, I have never trusted one more to keep me safe. She always knows where her feet are, and I have 100% confidence in her to stay on her feet when I'm roping something or navigating rough terrain. She has enough bone to hold up under any condition but is still agile and athletic. She is a pleasure to shoe and wears a size 1 shoe all the way around. She has spent time in the arena as well, excelling in team roping on both ends, and showing a special interest in barrel racing. She has been to many ranch roping's and hauled all over the state and will back out of the trailer.I have had her trail riding in the mountains and she was my pick for that activity since she has such a smooth gait and steps out so nice. She has baby-sat kids learning to ride and cared for them, slowing down when they needed help. When kids are leading her, she takes her time and makes sure not to step on them. I have trusted her to ride with my little girl from the time she was a newborn. She also knows how to pull a sleigh for winter family fun. She literally has it all. Flashy, excellent temperament, gentle disposition, and experience. Fancy would make an excellent trail, ranch, 4H, or arena horse for anyone in the family.
